Go all over Granada’s Medow by bike and revive Lorca’s life!

Introductory talk + Lorca’s Houses Route by bike

We will meet at Caleta Square where we will take the bikes to those that do not have their own. We will head to La Huerta de San Vicente, García Lorca family’s summer house between 1926 and 1936. There Federico García Lorca wrote many of his main Bodas de sangre (1932) and Yerma (1934). The poet lived at this house the previous days to his arrest and murder in August 1936, at the start of Spanish Civil War. 

After this guided tour we will take the bikes and leave Granada riding for the bike road along the Genil River. We will continue through Purchil and Belicena villages on our way to Santa Fe, Cradle of Hispanity and the pionono, a regional sweet.

Santa Fe was a military camp set by Catholic Kings to prepare their last assault against Granada’s Reign Nasrid dynasty. The whole camp-town was built in just 80 days, including many towers, walls and a moat surrounding the city. They also built 4 gates which still stand to this day. After leaving Santa Fe we will continue for Jau village, through a narrow road flanked by popular groves. And we will arrive to Lorca lands…

PROGRAM

Location: Granada city and its meadow.
Recommended season: Spring – Summer -Autumn.
Guaranteed days: Any day with more than 4 people group.
Length: whole day
Group (Min/Max): Minimum 4 people Maximum 12 people.
Difficulty: Easy.
Meeting Point: Caleta Square (Granada).
Recommended material: Sport shoes (necessary), comfortable clothes, hat and sunglasses. It is recommended to wear cycling shorts.
It includes: nature guide, MOUNTAIN BIKE 29” & 27,5″ ALUM bicycle, entrance to Fuente Vaqueros Museum, water, fruit and energy bar.

Bike helmet is mandatory. If you do not have a helmet you would have to pay a surcharge of 5€.

RATES:

89€/person. Bike tour and taxes.
25€/person. Optional lunch at a typical restaurant at Granada’s Meadow (Very recommended!)

Cancellation policy: Not refundable. This activity does not allow any cancellation.

• Minimum age 14 years old (with guardian’s consent)
• There will be no refund in case adverse weather conditions or any other reason external to our Center.
• In case of material breakage, loss or theft, the customer is responsible for it.

This activity’s insurances are protected by Andalusia’s Active Tourism decree.
